| Profile: | I have more than 10 years experience with Delphi and MS SQL, and do a lot of work with XML and all the associated "X" technologies. Currently I am heavily involved in C# development, and in my spare time I am learning Ruby and Rails on MySQL.
I have a full-time job, but do quite a bit of side-line projects. I probably work a bit slower than most, but this is because of my incurable attention to detail. I do not believe in rushing a job because that always results in errors. I always aim to get something right, and if possible, perfect, the first time around. I do this type of work purely for some extra cash, and generally don't have the time to tackle big projects. Small applications, data conversions and the like are my forte, but I am always willing to consider other things. During a recent project I developed a plug-in for MS Office (Word, Excell & Powerpoint). I had NO idea how to do this when I started, but still managed to deliver a perfectly working application in less than 2 weeks. I have also worked with other technologies listed above (e.g. Flash), but do not feel confident enough in my knowledge of these to tick them. The important thing is that if I bid on a project it means that I am SURE that I can do it, regardless of the technology. |
